Pimp Juice
"Pimp Juice" was the fourth United States & Canada single by the rapper Nelly, released in 2003, from the 2002 album Nellyville. This song did not achieve the commercial success of his hits "Hot in Herre", "Dilemma", and "Air Force Ones", but was still bigger than "Work It"; it topped out at #58 on the Billboard Hot 100.[1] In the song it is stated that women only want him for his "pimp juice", which he needs to let loose. The song was featured in VH1's "40 Most Awesomely bad songs ever at #30.[2]
Controversy
The song received backlash for its apparent glorification of prostitution. In 2004, students at Spelman College, the historically Black women's college in Atlanta, protested Nelly's bone-marrow drive—which he had started after discovering his sister had been diagnosed with leukemia.[3]
Remix
The official remix features Ronald Isley of the Isley Brothers, and the song is on Nelly's remix album, Da Derrty Versions: The Reinvention.
